Managing Director, Bain Capital
Chris Gordon is a Managing Director at Bain Capital. He joined the firm in 1997 and has significant experience in private equity investing, with specialized focus in the healthcare sector. He currently leads Bain Capital’s North American healthcare team and is a member of the investment committee for the Bain Capital Life Sciences Fund. Prior to joining Bain Capital, Chris was a consultant at Bain & Company.
Chris has been actively involved in and served on the Board of Directors for a wide spectrum of prominent healthcare companies in which Bain Capital has made investments including HCA Inc., Quintiles Transnational Corporation, Grupo Notre Dame Intermedica, Air Medical Group Holdings Inc., Acadia Healthcare Company Inc., Beacon Health Options, Physio Control Inc., QuVa Pharmaceuticals, Waystar Inc., Aveanna, Surgery Partners, and Stada GMBH. He is also a founding Director of the Healthcare Private Equity Association. Chris also volunteers his time and support to a variety of charitable organizations. He currently serves on the Board of Directors of Year Up – Boston, Boston Medical Center Health Plan, and Dana Farber Cancer Institute Board of Trustees.
Chris received a bachelor’s degree in economics from Harvard College, graduating magna cum laude, and an MBA from Harvard Business School, where he was a Baker Scholar.
